Cheri finally made it home the next afternoon. Of course, with it's massive size, Cheri had no trouble figuring out what the big surprise was as they pulled up to the house.
"You built the greenhouse? It's lovely! You didn't have to do that, but wow... it looks great." She squealed.
"Wait until you see the inside of it. It's going to make things so much easier. Automatic sprinklers, composters, even found these weird little dancing plant things that are supposed to simulate sunlight. I dunno if it works, but they seem kind of fun anyway."
Aedan couldn't get the car parked fast enough for Cheri but once he did they walked over to the greenhouse arm in arm like they'd never fought at all.
Cheri took a couple minutes to take it all in. Aedan just enjoyed those couple minutes with her leaning on his shoulder, enjoying that she was home and happy.
"When did the garden get so big?" Cheri eventually asked. "How are we supposed to keep up with this? Especially if we're going to have a baby taking up all our time."
"We can hire help for that too," Aedan had pitched the maid idea to Cheri on the drive home and she eagerly agreed. "Just to do what we can't keep up with."
"I don't know if I trust anybody else with the garden."
"Well, we can think about it."

Dinner was lobster that Aedan cooked for them and they enjoyed eating together for the first time in a week. It was a nice way to makeup for all the fighting.
Y'all know the table is there to put the plates on while you eat, right?
Cheri cleaned the dishes after they ate. And with dinner eaten and the chores done they retreated to the bedroom for some makeup woohoo.
(but we'll just leave them as they makeout in the kitchen, because the pillows on their bed will devour them anyway. So you'll all just be like "what's with the picture of pillows?" XD.)
And after some bedroom fun they went outside to stargaze.
"I just don't know how we're supposed to juggle a baby and everthing else." Cheri confessed as they snuggled up together. "Like, how am I supposed to finish my book now, and keep up with my painting? And just... everything. It's just too much."
"We'll figure it out. I mean, yeah, it might slow that all down but you don't have to stop altogether. And I'll take more time away from work to help out, so you can do your stuff too. And it'll be worth it, it'll be our baby and we'll love it and it'll be worth the sacrifices we have to make."
"I guess."

Later, when they'd finally gone to bed, together for the first time in a week a disturbance outside woke the couple. Of course, being the man of the household, the one not carrying the miracle of life, and a cop Aedan was the one to check on the disturbance.
He expected some kind of animal, a burglar at worst. He did not expect a UFO to be hovering above him.
Or to be abducted by aliens.
