(Note: I apologize that this one took so long to get out. I ran into technical difficulties, and then my interests were just elsewhere. I'm aiming for once every week or two from here on though.)
Aedan's first day of classes started far to early in the morning for him. One of the things he'd looked forward to about attending university with Cheri was waking up with her and spending some time with her before class kind of like how the always met at school early in high school so they could sit in a quiet hallway or outside and just chat and enjoy each other's company, only they'd enjoy each other's company in the dorm before they parted ways for the day. But classes were so much earlier than in high school, and being the night owl that he was Aedan just couldn't bring himself to get up before the last possible minute he could do so. So he had to wish Cheri luck on her first day as he ran out the door.
Class was boring, he hated spending all day just sitting in a classroom especially since Cheri wasn't beside him to whisper to. Of course that was probably better for his education since he'd be able to focus more, then again it hadn't stopped him from getting straight A's through grade school. University was already harder though, but maybe that was just the heavy course load Aedan was taking. He had 3 classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and by the end of that first day he hated his decision to take on so much, it seemed like class would never end and he was left with so much work to do when he got back to the dorm.
Still he stopped to cheer up one of his classmates, also a fellow dormmate, on the way back to the dorm for the night. He'd been having a rough day, and was being verbally attacked by some girl. Aedan felt bad for him, he seemed like a nice guy.
Back at the dorm it was Aedan's turn to be verbally attacked. Once by one of his dormmates basically as soon as he walked in the door.
Once by some girl who was apparently very jealous after Cheri greeted him with a big kiss.
You're kind of creepy aren't you? Like did you think you stand a chance? He has a girlfriend, you can't expect him to like you.
And once by some guy as he was trying to sit down in front of the computer to study.
Dude, you need to learn what a shower is. All you weirdo dormmates do.
He did eventually get to study in peace, and studied well into the night, until he was falling asleep at the computer. He'd told Cheri he'd eat dinner with her but he missed it and found her sleeping peacefully in bed when he got there.
He'd have to make it up to her in the morning. At least he had afternoon class so he might stand a chance at being up early enough, although she did have morning class but it wasn't too early in the morning.
He could smell pumpkin pie through the whole dorm when he got up and could tell it was Cheri's baking. He'd already learned his dormmates burned everything. Cheri was a talented chef though, especially when it came to baking—her mom owned a bakery so she was well taught. He couldn't find Cheri when he went to get some pie, she must've already eaten. So he just ate without her and then pulled out one of his books to study hoping she'd find him. She never did, but Tiffany delighted in keeping him company and pestering him while he tried to study.
That look says it all Aedan, I agree, set that coffee down psycho lady you don't need it you're hyper enough.
Why did his dormmates have to be so annoying?
At least his dormmates made it tempting to go to class and spend a couple hours sitting in a machine studying his own brain waves. Then again, that might not be a good thing.
Hey, you should use that on your dormmates, find out what's wrong with them.
