It's been almost a year since I've updated this, and I don't even know how that's possible. But it should be easy to guess, that if it's been that long, I just don't have the time to keep up with it anymore. Not this and the Ellison Legacy too, anyway. Trying to keep up with both has meant both have suffered greatly. So I'm going to focus on one, and (as many of you probably know already) Evie and her family have a very very special place in my heart so they're the ones I want to focus on. Not that I don't love these guys too, I do, and that's why I will continue to play and post on tumblr but in snippets when I feel like it, without the pressure of trying to compose a full update or anything. I also know that we left Aedan in a bad place (aboard a UFO) and Aedan and Cheri in a bad place in their marriage (though they were working on it). So I have one last update to tie up lose ends and see where life has taken them.
Firstly, and most importantly, Aedan made it home to earth relatively unharmed, just some emotional scarring, no big deal, we're all emotionally scarred, life goes on. Besides he's heard the stories, all about his family history, honestly being poked and prodded by the aliens for a bit and dropped off at home unharmed is nothing in comparison. He wasn't even impregnated by the aliens (stupid aliens, you've failed me!), he's heard that can happen... but that couldn't be possible, could it? How would that work? It wouldn't. Well, Aedan, it can, so I guess you should be grateful and not think about the hows.
But, I guess when you go through something like that, you don't have many people you can talk to. But you need to talk to somebody, especially when there was somebody wondering how you could just vanish into thin air and pacing around the house waiting for you to come back and wondering if the should call the police or not. So you talk to that one person you can talk to, who loves you too much to care if your story is totally unbelievable and makes you sound like a crazy person (and that one person who knows your warpped family history well enough to know that things like aliens really do exist and much weirder and scarier things could have happened). And when you're absolutely terrified and convinced that you'll never see the most important person in your life again, that they're dead or that you'll die before you get to see them again, well it gvies you a new appreciation for them and you'll do whatever you have to do to keep them in your life.
So, really the alien abduction was a good thing, because it helped Aedan and Cheri get their relationship back on track. It was like nothing ever went wrong between them, because really all those petty fights don't mean a thing in comparison.
